Following the outbreak of the global Covid-19 pandemic, Shanker Group in association with the Kathmandu Lions Club initiated several Covid-19 awareness programmes in several public areas around Kathmandu, communicating the importance of personal hygiene and social distancing in reducing risk of contamination. As part of this awareness campaign, Shanker Group also distributed masks at vegetable markets in Kalimati and Balkhu, as well as at the main Kathmandu Yatayat Office, and public areas of Ason, Basantapur, Kalanki, and Patan.
